ABOUT
TOUCH SURGERY™ APP
The Touch Surgery™ interactive surgical simulator provides a realistic guide to surgical and medical procedures, allowing trainees to learn procedures, test their knowledge, and rehearse for surgery. The app has over 3 million global users. Independent academic studies have demonstrated its effectiveness for education and training.
This project aims to assist surgeons with their daily routines. The app allows surgeons to preview their upcoming surgeries, prepare medical tools and equipment, and collaborate with other members who will be on the same procedure.
THE CHALLENGE
How to make busy surgeons arrange schedules easily and conveniently?
PROCESS

RESEARCH
Upon receiving our prompt, we were cognizant of its complexities. Therefore, we deconstructed the prompt into tangible subproblems, which we tackled by establishing research goals.
The who, what, where, when and why
The who, what, where, when and why
What tools and methods are they use to manage the schedule
What do surgeons need to pay most attention to
How does they cooperate with surgical team
RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES
As UI designer , I work with the team through four different research methodologies to collect data on each facet of the prompt in order to answer our research goals.
PERSONA
We learned throughout our research that they are busy and need good collaboration. Their choices are very limited, basically only the calendar that comes with the phone. By developing persona, we were able to learn our user better.
